THANKS L
Dear L,
Although I am not really sure what happened with your wife, I do understand the pain you are feeling. I see this often. People who dive head first into
relationships are often the ones who jump out just as quickly, leaving the other person in a dust of confusion and bewiderment. It sounds like your wife
got caught up in the "honeymoon" period of your relationship but can't deal with the day to day monotony which is really what makes relationships strong.
She wants to live in a fairytale but that is just not realistic. Even though it is very personal, my advice is to not take this personally. She has
probably done this before and will do this to the next man she falls "head over heels". She likes the romance and the drama, once things get boring she
bolts. Connect with any support network you have, family and friends and you will get through this. Wishing emotional health and happiness, Melanie Cohn
